You can make a special request for morning shade, afternoon shade or near the pool or a restroom. There are showers near the pool, however they require quarters to run them. One year we relied on them and they were not functioning -- you may want to bring a sunshower and keep it ready.
Dogs are allowed in the campground on leash but not in the park. Check on additional fees for animals.
